Picnic in the park
It was a sunny day in San Francisco today, so I took Jasper to Dolores Park for a "last day before mommy goes back to work" picnic. He also went in the baby swing for the first time and loved it!

A very busy week
The last week has been a very busy one for Jasper. He got to spend some time with Uncle Erik and Auntie Rachel and enjoyed hearing their Burning Man stories. He went to the doctor on Wednesday and we found out he now weighs 14 pounds and 2 ounces which is exactly twice as much as when he was born. He's also 25 inches long. The video below shows one of his cute tricks. And finally today he debuted his latest skill - rolling over! We'll try to get that on video soon. His sleep has been a bit disrupted this week. Apparently there is lots going on in his little brain.

New trick!
Jasper's latest trick is putting his foot in his mouth. The first time he licked his toe, he made a "yuk" face. I guess it didn't taste that good. He was in his crib for 30 minutes today working on his foot to mouth coordination. He even tried to get both of his feet in his mouth at one point! Also, here's a cute little video just because. Enjoy!

Showing off
Here's a picture of Jasper demonstrating his latest skill - grabbing his toes! This is a classic yoga pose called "happy baby" for obvious reasons. He can also do a left hand to right toe grab - very advanced.

Meeting a new friend
Last Sunday, Jasper and I went over to Oakland to see my friend Gabby and her daughter Lucia who is two. Lucia has been a big fan of Jasper via internet since he was born. They finally had the chance to meet in person. Lucia immediately ripped off his socks so she could touch his little feet - I can't blame her. This looks like the start of a beautiful friendship.
